BASE Coordinator

Job Overview

Under the direction of the BASE Director, the BASE Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration and daily operation of LAMB's Before Care program, ensuring a safe, welcoming, organized, and engaging start to the school day. The Coordinator will support After Care operations and provide supervision for a subset of BASE Instructors. The Coordinator is responsible for the effective administration of Before Care, including staff supervision, scheduling, attendance, family communication, billing support, compliance, and program reporting. The Coordinator will also ensure that accurate information is collected and communicated for NSLP breakfast offer-count reporting.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Before Care Administration (7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.)

  • Lead and oversee the daily operation of Before Care
  • Supervise, coach, and support Before Care staff
  • Ensure student safety, appropriate supervision, and a positive morning environment
  • Manage attendance, rosters, staffing, and daily program logistics
  • Support smooth transitions from Before Care to the instructional day
  • Maintain consistent communication with families regarding attendance, enrollment, schedules, policies, and program concerns
  • Ensure accurate information is maintained for billing, enrollment, attendance, and NSLP breakfast offer counts
  • Address daily operational issues and exercise appropriate independent judgment in resolving program needs

After Care Administration & Support (12:00 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.)

  • Provide administrative leadership and follow-up related to the Before Care program
  • Supervise and support a subset of BASE Instructors
  • Support the daily operation and staffing needs of the After Care program
  • Maintain program records, schedules, attendance, billing-related information, and compliance documentation
  • Communicate with families and school staff regarding program needs and concerns
  • Support the BASE Director with program planning, staff coaching, scheduling, and continuous improvement
  • Assist with ensuring a safe, organized, and positive environment for students 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of BASE
 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Experience coordinating or supervising a childcare, educational, or enrichment program
  • Experience supervising and supporting staff
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of or interest in Montessori philosophy preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience with attendance, enrollment, billing, compliance, or program administration preferred

Reports to:  BASE Director

Schedule:  12-month full-time position, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m to 6:15 pm

 

Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience, starting at $39.47/hour.
